The € 50,000 Mukogodo Forest Support grant will enhance communication, security, and wildlife/habitat monitoring in the Mukogodo Forest Reserve in the face of the COVID pandemic. The overall objective of this project is to ensure that the Association’s rangers can engage effectively in security and conservation measures in the Forest. The Project allows them to join the radio network of security forces in the landscape and provides the means for them to join the wildlife monitoring efforts.
Some of the key areas deliberated: radio procurement to improve a network of linked communications, wildlife and habitat monitoring protocols, security and reporting protocols with these landscape partners.
The minutes of this first team meeting is provided here and highlight the discussions and commitments made towards the Project
