Background
The project aims to strengthen the resilience of communities and ecosystems to climate impacts through increased awareness, capacity building, and the implementation of climate-resilient policies, resulting in enhanced livelihoods, biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, and improved health.
LWF, in collaboration with stakeholders such as Ward Development Committees (WDCs), community leaders and representatives, local organizations, civil society, and consultants, is conducting workshops to raise awareness of climate change, providing comprehensive training on climate policy development, facilitating participatory planning sessions in selected wards, and advocating for the adoption of rainwater harvesting policies in Laikipia County.
