On 8th July 2021, the Laikipia Tourism Association (LTA) held a virtual member’s meeting to discuss status, leadership and structure and identify its focus areas over the remainder of the year and beyond.
The objectives of this meeting were.
- To discuss Membership Status.
- A review of the Memoranda and Draft Articles of Association.
- To discuss the criteria for the election of officials.
Membership
Over the last few months, LTA has grown to include 25 members consisting of conservancy hospitality, hotels, night clubs, lodges, tour operators and adventure tourism providers. New members are welcome as the LTA works with the industry to plan for post Covid operations.
Any tourism service providers within the Greater Laikipia landscape with a valid business permit can become members of our association.
Members also pledged to bring onboard new members to the association. The association will have a subsequent member’s meeting on 22nd July to evaluate progress on membership recruitment and to give the date and agenda for the annual general meeting.
