On June 13th, 2024, LWF participated in a PFMP (Participatory Forest Management Plan) sensitization forum organized by the Ilmamusi Community Forest Association (CFA) at Lokusero Secondary School. The forum aimed to deepen the community’s understanding of forest management and explore collaborative efforts to enhance sustainable practices.
The event began with welcoming remarks emphasizing the importance of community involvement in forest management and the critical role of the PFMP in ensuring sustainable forest use and conservation.
A comprehensive overview of the PFMP was presented, providing participants with valuable insights into its objectives, strategies, and expected outcomes. This informative session highlighted the benefits and responsibilities associated with participatory forest management, engaging the community in meaningful dialogue.
