Porini Rhino Camp, situated in the quiet western side of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, is an excellent base to explore the 90,000-acre conservancy and its diverse wildlife that freely roams the grassy plains and rolling hills.
The waterhole overlooking Porini Rhino Camp offers a unique opportunity to spot the wild animals that come for a drink; this close game viewing just got even better as we now have a hide overlooking the watering hole.
Porini Rhino Camp is an intimate camp. – all tents are comfortably furnished with en suite bathrooms with flush lavatories and safari showers.
The camp is very environmentally-friendly, with solar-powered lighting and a low carbon footprint. In addition, each tent has beautiful views of the surrounding areas.
Guests can also book other optional activities: Behind scenes chimpanzees, cycling Safari, dog tracking, junior ranger program, lion tracking, meeting the northern white rhinos, and riding with rhinos.
In this regard, we are pleased to advise that we will have a second family unit from March 2022.
We will still have only eight tents – but now inclusive of two two-bedroom family units.
Our resident rates remain unchanged, offering excellent value for guests as they include:
- Full Board accommodation
- Free drinks (mineral water, soft drinks, house wines, beer, Vodka, Gin, and Tonic)
- Sundowners from scenic viewpoints
- Guided nature walks
- Shared day and night game drives in open 4×4 vehicles with experienced driver guide and spotter
- A visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary in the Ol Pejeta conservancy
- For guests flying in local airstrip transfers to the camps
What’s more, non-resident guests also get to travel at the same special rates when they accompany you (non-resident park and conservancy fees applicable to any overseas visitors).
Here you will escape from the crowds and experience the wilderness on your own without the presence of many other tourist vehicles and with the personal attention of qualified safari guides.
Furthermore, the Porini Safari Camps are small and exclusive, with no more than ten guest tents so that you will have just a few other like-minded people as a company.
