Ms. Sarah Waruo is the current County Director of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) in Laikipia County. She has a spanning career in Environmental conservation for last the 20 years having initially worked at the National Environment Complaints Committee (NECC). Besides ensuring compliance to Environmental Laws and Regulations, Ms. Waruo brings to the LWF Board her ability and experience in coordinating different players in the wider Environment and Natural Resources Management field. In Laikipia County, she has coordinated the development of the County Environment Action Plan (CEAP) which is an all-inclusive roadmap to ensuring environmental conservation in all the sectors. Her Master’s degree is in project management and planning and therefore she plays a vital role in the implementation of LWF projects.
