Embracing Positive Change: Amended Articles of Association:
In line with our commitment to continuous improvement, the Board undertook an extensive review of our Articles of Association. Gathering insights from our members and management, a special Board meeting was convened to deliberate on proposed changes. These amendments address critical aspects such as our role as an implementor of projects or a secretariat, our geographical reach, eligibility for membership, the number and mode of director appointments, the duration of directors’ service, and the establishment of an Advisory Board.
Unanimous Adoption: A Renewed Framework:
The proposed changes to the Articles of Association were shared with our members alongside the AGM notice. During the meeting, the Secretary presented these revisions, leading to a momentous special resolution. With unanimous agreement, the current Articles of Association will be replaced by the amended version. This significant step signifies our commitment to operating under a revised framework that aligns with our renewed vision and aspirations.
Looking into the Future: A Roadmap to Revitalization:
As we embrace this new chapter, we have outlined a comprehensive plan to revitalize and strengthen LWF. Key initiatives include a thorough review of our Strategic Plan, an assessment of anchor donors, and a revamp of our membership recruitment strategy. These measures will ensure that LWF remains at the forefront of wildlife conservation efforts in Laikipia, fostering sustainable development and creating a positive impact on our region.
