As per the land act 2016, all community land should elect a maximum of 15 members to hold the office of the community land management (CLMC).
In this regard, the IL Ngwesi community elected their new CLMC and held an Annual General Meeting on the 9th of May 2022 at Lokuseru to introduce them to the community members. The CLMC have the obligation to report back to community for all the financials and projects done in the financial year.
IL Ngwesi community was the first community to transit from Group Ranch to community land as prescribed in the new land law. The law requires the community members to elect the community land management committee after 3 years.
The 2020 books of accounts were presented to the members by the auditor. The community land management committee also gave out a cheque of 9.1M towards the education fund. The CLMC promised to work with all the members for the benefit of the community.
