We focus on providing value as a membership organization by nurturing devolved wildlife conservation at the County and landscape level. We also support the formation and operations of Community Wildlife Conservation Committees and partner with sector stakeholders to address wildlife conservation issues and generate public benefits.

Rangelands are a vital resource in Laikipia providing habitat for wildlife, grazing land for livestock, and important ecosystem services such as water filtration and soil conservation.

Laikipia Wildlife Forum recognizes the importance of water resources for both people and wildlife in the Laikipia landscape and works to promote sustainable water management practices that ensure the long-term health and availability of water resources.

Tourism is one of the key areas of operation and thematic areas of LWF. We have been involved in ecotourism marketing promotion and guided community tourism investments for over a decade.

We aim to promote conservation education in the local communities of Laikipia and beyond as a means of creating awareness, understanding and appreciating the natural environment.

LWF recognizes that land use is a critical factor in the sustainable management of natural resources in Laikipia and the wider region. We work towards promoting land use practices that are compatible with conservation and sustainable development objectives.
