Our water programming is born from our success in working with private and community water users through the 29 Water Resource User Associations (WRUAs) in the Upper Ewaso Ng’iro North Catchment Area (UENNCA).
Based on the Forum’s historical support for integrated water resources management in the Upper Catchment, the Mt. Kenya-Ewaso Water Partnership (MKEWP) was born. MKEWP is a Public Private Partnership formed to address critical water issues in this catchment. The MKEWP brings together water actors to solve water problems shared by its citizens.
Flower farmers, horticultural growers, WRUAs, five County governments, National government agencies, researchers, civil society groups and other water actors will collectively identify, discuss and take action on common water problems in this area.
